Why Choose Weddings at Pethers Rainforest Retreat
If saying “I do” in a secluded clearing in the rainforest and luxurious treehouse style accommodation is your style, check out weddings at Pethers Rainforest Retreat at Mount Tamborine.
Pethers is just a 30 minute drive from the Gold Coast and just over an hour from Brisbane, but it’s a whole world away from the clamour of the coast and the noise and bustle of the city. Set on five hectares of glorious subtropical rainforest, Pethers is an all in one venue. Your ceremony, reception and accommodation are all catered for.
The Ceremony Area
The ceremony area usually used for weddings is in a clearing in the rainforest. Imagine starting your happily ever after against a background of palms and other luxuriant rainforest plants. An arbour is permanently set up at one end of the ceremony area. All you need to do is to decorate it in your colour scheme.
The Reception
Fancy treating your guests to a celebration in an award winning restaurant? Weddings at Pethers Rainforest Retreat always feature delicious food made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. From the smallest, most intimate celebration to a party for 80, Pethers will tailor a reception package to suit your style and budget.
The restaurant has huge, five metre tall windows with splendid rainforest views. My favourite part of the restaurant is the huge central fireplace. It adds charm and character to the room as well as warming it on chilly Tamborine winter evenings.
Accommodation
Pethers features 10 private treehouses. Each treehouse has a spa, fireplace, balcony and a wonderful view of the rainforest. The treehouses are designed for couples; however there are plenty of other accommodation options nearby that are great for families. The treehouses are great for getting ready or as a peaceful retreat after your wedding.
Green Credentials
Many wedding venues are not very environmentally friendly, but Pethers has a number of strategies in place to reduce or recycle waste, reduce water and energy usage and increase native vegetation on the property.
Something Special
The staff at Pethers will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure your big day goes smoothly. They are helpful and supportive if you are looking for something unique and different – a themed wedding for example.
For some other venue ideas for a wedding at Mount Tamborine, have a look at my blogs Mt Tamborine wedding and Venues With Great Views. St Bernards Hotel and Plunkett Villa at Tamborine Village are also great wedding venues in the area. For a very different type of wedding venue, check out my National Parks Weddings blog.
